* Landry’s Seafood Restaurants Inc. is buying Rainforest Cafe Inc., which operates or licenses 38 theme restaurants worldwide, for $125 million in cash and stock. Houston-based Landry’s is paying $5.23 a share in cash, or 0.5816 share, for each share of Hopkins, Minn.-based Rainforest. Landry’s shares fell $1.19 to close at $8.63 on the NYSE, while Rainforest rose 50 cents to close at $4.88 on Nasdaq.
