Auditions Scheduled Sunday for Orchestra

WEST HOLLYWOOD — Musicians with an ear for “adventurous repertoire” and an appreciation for “under-represented” composers are being sought for the West Hollywood Orchestra.
Auditions for all instruments will be held Sunday, an orchestra spokeswoman said this week. Tryouts can be scheduled through the orchestra hotline at (323) 848-6829. Orchestra artistic director Nan Washburn will conduct the auditions at the Fairfax High School auditorium, 7850 Melrose Ave.
Musicians will apparently be expected to speed up the tempo if they are picked on Sunday. The orchestra’s next concert is six days later--Feb. 26.
