Clinton Cousin Marries Secret Service Agent

WASHINGTON — Catherine A. Cornelius, a distant cousin of President Clinton who was reprimanded in the travel office controversy of 1993, was married to a Secret Service agent Saturday.
The president and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton attended the ceremony at Foundry Methodist Church near the White House as Cornelius and A.T. Smith were wed.
Smith is assigned to the detail protecting Mrs. Clinton.
Cornelius, who had pressed for changes in the travel office, replaced Billy Dale as head of the office in the shake-up that resulted in Dale and six others being fired.
The White House later admitted erring in firing the seven. An internal report recommended that five of the seven be given new government jobs, and Cornelius was one of four White House employees publicly reprimanded for her role.
She also served as special assistant to the president and deputy director for presidential advance.
