A local homeless shelter, nearing the end of a $240,000 expansion, wants businesses to help furnish the new rooms it has built.
HIS House, named for the homeless intervention and shelter it provides, is putting its eight rooms up for adoption. Businesses that pay to furnish them will be recognized with their names on the doors.
Gilbert Gonzales, executive director of the Bradford Avenue shelter, said sponsors will have to start calling in soon.
“The whole internal structure with the wiring is all done,” he said. “The contractors will be off-site within a week.”
For information on adopting a room, call (714) 993-5774.
