Whittier Christian rushed for 294 yards and five touchdowns in the victory at Citrus College.
Abraham Santos and David Jones scored touchdowns on Whittier Christian’s first two possessions. Anthony Ruiz scored on a reverse with 7:01 remaining in the second quarter and the Heralds led at halftime, 20-7.
Whittier Christian scored two more times in the second half on a three-yard run by Santos and a five-yard run by Gavin Moy. Western Christian scored twice in the final 3 minutes 24 seconds, including a touchdown with 1:16 to play after recovering an onside kick.
Jones led Whittier Christian (2-2) in rushing with 102 yards in 14 carries.
