Children at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s Special Care Unit who have battled all odds to survive will reunite Sunday with the same physicians and nurses who treated them.
The Baby Alumni Club will hold its annual special baby Olympics for parents and children, ranging from infants to 6-year-olds, who were treated at the Laguna Hills hospital within the past three years.
The children, many of whom were born prematurely and critically ill, will be encouraged to scoot, crawl and jump in games. All children will receive special ribbons. Other events will include a family triathlon, obstacle course and “dunk the doc” tank. The reunion will be from noon to 3 p.m. in Laguna Niguel Regional Park, 28241 La Paz Road, Laguna Niguel. Information: (949) 452-7255.
