* Re “Some Question D.A.’s Use of Charitable Funds,” Oct. 1: Unequal justice under Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti. What corporation wouldn’t donate to Garcetti’s District Attorney Crime Prevention Foundation and avoid costly legal fees, fines and possible jail time? It seems that justice is no longer blind. Her eyes are open and her hand is out. Will the county supervisors investigate Garcetti as the state investigated former Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush for his foundation?

I think I detect a (Quackenbush) subliminal message in your (Quackenbush) story about Garcetti’s office (Quackenbush) allowing corporate defendants (Quackenbush) to make “charitable” contributions in lieu of civil or criminal prosecution. Perhaps it was the use (Quackenbush) of these contributions to make a (Quackenbush) video starring the D.A. Or am I just (Quackenbush) imagining it?
