Ethentica, a Lake Forest company that develops user-verification products for computer security, said Tuesday that it has received $25 million in funding in exchange for an unspecified number of shares in the company.
Ethentica said in a press release that the money came from original investors Safeguard Scientifics and XL Vision along with new investors Hewlett-Packard Co., Amdahl Corp. and Greenhill Partners LLC.
Hewlett-Packard also will provide up to $15 million under a convertible debt arrangement, Ethentica said.
