Carmen Skorpen; Former Church Receptionist

Carmen Skorpen, a former church receptionist, died at a hospital in Orange County on Sunday. She was 68.
She was born July 13, 1932, in El Paso, Texas, and had been a resident of Ventura County for the past 36 years.
Skorpen worked as a receptionist at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Camarillo before retiring. She was also active in the church.
She is survived by sons Joseph of Malibu and Richard of Camarillo and two granddaughters, Taylor and Sydney.
A rosary is scheduled at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Bros. Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo.
