Ask for Statehood
Much has been published, debated and preached and a lot of people have died or been arrested regarding the continuing struggle of people trying to cross the U.S. border from Mexico in search of a “better life.”
May I suggest that the Mexican states, starting with those close to the border, put up a ballot seeking authority from their people to apply for U.S. statehood and send the approved ballot to Washington? This way of gaining access to the U.S. is more civilized.
