A San Marino man was killed late Friday when his car hit a bridge guardrail and plunged into a rain-swollen flood control channel in La Palma, police said.
Investigators said Mark Morrison, 29, was the only occupant of the red sedan, which was northbound on Walker Street about 10:35 p.m. Friday. After striking the rail, the car slid into the Coyote Creek flood channel, police said.
Officers pulled Morrison from the overturned car as it began to fill with water, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
