In a Division I-AAA quarterfinal game:
Esperanza 52, Ontario 43--Junior Lindsay Helvey had 14 points and six rebounds for host Esperanza (25-4). Christy Gardner had a game-high 23 points for Ontario (22-7).
In Division III-AA::
Calvary Chapel 74, Montebello Cantwell Sacred Heart 43--Erin John led visiting Calvary Chapel into the semifinals with 18 points.
Rosary 61, La Canada 30--Jen Farner scored 14 points and Jenise Karcher had 12 for second-seeded Rosary (23-7), which plays North Hollywood Harvard Westlake in the semifinals.
In Division I-AA second-round games:
El Toro 36, Camarillo 29--El Toro outscored visiting Camarillo, 15-4, in the third quarter to take an eight-point lead. Alisa Tan’s three-point basket in the fourth quarter gave the Chargers a seven-point lead.
The Chargers (20-6) will play Irvine in the quarterfinals.
Irvine 75, Redlands 53--Irvine (22-6) held visiting Redlands (21-7) to three points in the fourth quarter. Jody Carlson led the Vaqueros with 20 points, 15 rebounds and five assists.
San Clemente 76, Chino 34--Lindsey Pluimer had 17 points and 16 rebounds and Kim Buffum had 15 points and eight assists for San Clemente (25-3).
Westminster 64, Temecula Valley 59--Trailing by as many as seven points in the fourth quarter, visiting Westminster (22-5) rallied for the victory. April Robles led the Lions with 18 points, Eva Camarena had 17 and Ashley Hebert 14.
In Division II-AA:
Bellflower 54, Valencia 24--The Tigers (15-14) fell behind, 12-1, after the first quarter at home.
Brea Olinda 64, Torrance 28--Jackie Lord had 15 points and six assists and Carrie Noyes had 12 points, 13 rebounds and six steals for the top-seeded Ladycats (23-4), who will host Palm Desert La Quinta in the quarterfinals.
Santa Barbara 58, Sonora 49--Brandi Davis made nine three-pointers and scored 31 points for visiting Sonora (22-6), but it wasn’t enough as the Raiders were outscored, 19-6, in the third quarter and fell behind by seven points.
Santa Margarita 73, Moorpark 42--Kim Bloomgren had 16 points, including four three-pointers, for host Santa Margarita (21-7), which plays Bellflower in the quarterfinals.
In Division V-AA:
Brethren Christian 58, Lone Pine 36--Heather Spowart led top-seeded Brethren Christian (19-9) with 24 points.
St. Margaret’s 59, L.A. Pacific Hills 53--Monique Kettler had 31 points, 16 rebounds and made 13 of 15 free throws for host St. Margaret’s (12-7), which plays Brethren Christian in the quarterfinals.
San Bernardino Aquinas 72, Capistrano Valley Christian 53--Host Capistrano Valley Christian (18-7) led by one at halftime, but Aquinas outscored them, 25-9, in the final eight minutes.
