Harvard-Westlake Pulls Out Victory in Overtime, 55-52

Lyndsey Medders made a three-point basket and Erin Stepheson hit two free throws in the final 1:28 of overtime to lead Harvard-Westlake High to a 55-52 victory over Santa Ynez in the quarterfinals of the Southern Section Division III-AA playoffs Wednesday night at Harvard-Westlake.
Harvard-Westlake (24-5) clinched a berth in the State Division III playoffs.
Medders scored 17 points, including five three-pointers, and Chantal Kazay added 11 for the Wolverines, who held Santa Ynez (20-5) to 35% shooting.
Stepheson finished with 10 points and Karina Siam scored nine for Harvard-Westlake, which played without forward Nyasha Bralock, who sat out with a knee injury.
