Unfair to Africa

Regarding “African Safaris’ Latest Risk: Bankrupt Tour Operators” (Travel Insider, Feb. 18): I think this article did a great disservice to all of the qualified, top-rated companies that sell African travel to Californians.
Having recently taken an African safari with such a company, I am offended by your sweeping generalization. Overseas Adventure Travel, the company I booked my trip through, was professional, organized and probably one of the most exceptional organizations that I have ever done business with on any basis. Unfortunately, negativity sells newspapers.
Why not include a list of companies that have performed well for many years as a balanced approach in your article? A follow-up article would be nice so that potential travelers are not further intimidated.
The continent of Africa suffers from more bad press than good. I believe an African safari should be a requirement to live on this planet.
