Microsoft Says Office Vulnerable to Hackers

Microsoft Corp. said that critical flaws in its Office program package make users vulnerable to data theft and vandalism.

An infiltrator can issue commands to a computer using e-mail or through a Web site.

The weakness also exists in Microsoft’s Money program and five products for doing business on computer servers. Microsoft is making a software patch available for download on its Web site.
