El Al Airlines’ Cargo Terminal Evacuated

A police bomb squad was dispatched to the cargo terminal of El Al Israel Airlines on Monday night after screening workers discovered possible explosives residue in a parcel, officials said.
Los Angeles police officials said they evacuated the terminal shortly before 8 p.m. Two hours later, they had determined there were no explosives in the parcel, which contained mechanical parts.
The terminal is on Century Boulevard, some distance from Los Angeles International Airport.
