More Than 200 Cases of Virus Reported on Cruise

More than 200 guests on the cruise ship Carnival Conquest reported symptoms of a gastrointestinal illness, Carnival Cruise Lines said, adding that it was treating it as a Norwalk-like virus, the same type of illness that has sickened hundreds on other cruise ships in recent months.
The ship left New Orleans on Dec. 8 and returned Sunday.
Carnival is working with federal officials to determine the source, but the company believes the virus was carried aboard by a passenger who reported feeling sick two days before the ship left port.
