Muslims Ask U.N. for Compensation

Bosnian Muslims who lost loved ones in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre of more than 7,000 men and boys by Serb forces have asked the United Nations for compensation for failing to protect them.
A team of Bosnian lawyers said they had filed a compensation request with the U.N. secretary-general.
Lightly armed Dutch U.N. peacekeepers had been assigned to protect civilians in Srebrenica in July 1995, but Bosnian Serb forces overran the enclave.
