Take ‘R-Word’ for It

My wife is a displaced Redskins fan, as am I. After reading “Vanity Plates Under Fire” (Jan. 4), we wanted to know if we can still call the Washington Redskins the “Redskins” or should we simply refer to them as the “R-word” team?

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. There is not one group or individual in this country who cannot find a reason to be offended by something someone else says. That is the nature of free speech.
