FEATS OF THE WEEK
* Noelle Quinn had 22 points, 21 rebounds, 11 assists and four blocked shots in Torrance Bishop Montgomery’s 66-42 victory over Fullerton Rosary.
* Corona Centennial’s Michelle Strawberry made 16 of 17 free throws in a 64-50 win over Corona.
* Rosemead’s Cindy Poon had 15 points, 26 rebounds, 15 steals and eight blocks in a 61-35 victory over San Gabriel Gabrielino.
* Kelly Beckler made five three-point baskets and scored 40 points in Granada Hills’ 76-57 win over L.A. Cleveland.
* Eshaya Murphy had 32 points, 29 rebounds and five steals in Van Nuys Montclair Prep’s 70-54 loss to Brentwood.
CLUTCH
* Brandi Knight scored 30 points and made four free throws in the final 30 seconds as Long Beach Wilson upset Torrance Bishop Montgomery, 56-54.
* Laura Wishingrad’s three-point basket gave Beverly Hills the lead in its 58-55 victory over Culver City.
* With the score tied, 33-33, Antonia Caffey made a three-point basket with 13 seconds left, and Nesma Rasheed made a steal and layup with 10 seconds to go in Walnut’s 38-35 win over Upland.
MILESTONES
* Ventura Buena had a fourth-quarter lead but lost to Harbor City Narbonne, 48-35. The defeat dropped Buena to 13-7, the first time the girls’ team has lost as many as seven games in one season.
* Antelope Valley’s 46-39 victory at Palmdale stuck the Falcons with only their 14th home loss in 14 seasons.
LOOKING AHEAD
* Tonight: The last time the teams played each other, it was standing-room only. It could be more of the same tonight at Buena when the Bulldogs play host to Ventura.
* Saturday: Seventh-ranked Troy lost twice last week to ranked opponents, but tries to redeem itself at No. 6 Bishop Montgomery. Ninth-ranked Woodbridge’s game at No. 8 Brea Olinda should be very close.
