Police sought a suspect in the beating death of a 21-year-old man on the lawn outside an apartment complex, authorities said.
Enrique Castejon of Northridge died in front of the Park Parthenia apartments in the 19000 block of Bryant Street, said Los Angeles Police Officer Don Cox.
Witnesses told police that Castejon had been arguing with a man described as being in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-foot-9, shortly before being fatally wounded, Cox said.
It is unclear what was used to beat him. The motive for the killing was unknown.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call homicide detectives at (818) 756-8291.
