2 Accused of Smuggling Chinese Plead Not Guilty

Two Taiwanese nationals accused of smuggling 10 Chinese men into Orange County last month pleaded not guilty to federal charges Monday, authorities said.
Prosecutors allege that the two fishing boat crew members ordered the 10 men to swim ashore north of Laguna Beach. The boat’s captain has told investigators that the 10 men hijacked the boat and steered the vessel to California.
