A Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect arrested last month by Serbian police will be extradited to the U.N. war crimes tribunal Monday, the state-run Tanjug news agency reported, citing unidentified sources from the Justice Ministry.
Ranko Cesic, accused of killing and torturing Muslims and Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1992, was the first suspect arrested from a government-issued list of Serbs wanted by the U.N. court.
Six of the 24 Serbs on the list have surrendered voluntarily, and the Belgrade government has said it will pursue the rest.
