Adult Store Ordered to Post Uniformed Guards

An adult bookstore in Mission Hills must post two uniformed guards around the clock to stay in business under a preliminary injunction issued this week.
In a statement Thursday, Los Angeles City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo said the store had been “a blight on this community for too long” and was the source of many neighborhood complaints and more than 75 lewd conduct arrests in the last three years.
Talk of the Valley, in the 15400 block of Devonshire Street, also will be required to maintain an on-site manager at all times, and display signs inside and outside the store barring minors and warning customers against lewd activity.
The injunction was issued late Wednesday by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David P. Yaffe.
The store’s owners said they plan to appeal the injunction.
