Anti-Arab Crimes Fall From 88 to 1, Police Say

The number of reported anti-Arab hate crimes in Los Angeles County dropped from 88 after Sept. 11 to one in January, the state attorney general’s office reported Thursday.
After the terrorist attacks, Los Angeles police alone reported 79 hate crimes for the remainder of September against people targeted for being or appearing to be Arab or Muslim, according to statistics. The Sheriff’s Department reported eight incidents during that span.
