Double duty: KCBS-TV Channel 2 entertainment reporter David Sheehan is now handling the same duties at KCAL-TV Channel 9, which merged with KCBS this year. Sheehan replaces Cary Berglund, whose contract was not renewed. Executives said Sheehan will at times do different reports for the two stations.

On the mend: Actor and Oscar-winning director Kevin Costner is recuperating at his Los Angeles-area home following surgery last week to remove his appendix, a spokesman said. The surgery was described as a common appendectomy and wasn’t serious.
