And Then There Are Our Clippers Again
Am I the only discontented Clipper fan who noticed the irony that Diane Pucin’s column, “Is This All They Have to Offer?” [Oct. 31], which bemoaned the palpable lack of intensity exhibited by the Clippers on opening night, was immediately followed by a quarter-page Clipper ad with the banner “INTENSITY” defined as “extreme energy exerted in thought, emotion or action.” I guess this means the only “INTENSITY” we will see will be displayed by the upcoming Clipper opponents.
Excellent ad placement, Donald. Was this call made by the same marketing geniuses who came up with the motto, “Pure Basketball”, which is so simply satirized as “Poor Basketball”?
