Sharon Osbourne will call it quits

Despite a new contract with MTV, Sharon Osbourne says she’s calling it quits after this season on the top-rated cable show “The Osbournes.”

“We can’t do it anymore,” she tells Barbara Walters in a “20/20” interview airing Wednesday. “Another 10 shows and I’m out.”

Despite the fame and fortune generated by the program, she wouldn’t choose to do again, says Osbourne, whose bout with colon cancer will be an integral part of the story line.

“If we hadn’t been doing this show, it would have been easier on us all.... The cameras are here all the time so it’s a little invasive now. When you’re sick, you know, you want to be on your own.”

Ozzy, for his part, has a different opinion. “I want to fulfill the commitment we made,” he says.
