From Times Wire Reports
Bahrain has issued a new law that it says will safeguard press freedom, a move aimed at bolstering political and economic reforms in the Persian Gulf state.
The law stipulates that journalists have the right to obtain information and publish it and that anyone who harasses a journalist will be punished.
But the law retains jail terms for insulting the king, blasphemy, incitement to topple the government or any crime that affects state security.
