New Director Named for Lung Association

Jayne Brechwald has been appointed executive director of the American Lung Assn. of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. She will replace retiring director Debbie Weeks, who spent 19 years with the association.
Brechwald has more than 30 years of experience in public health, is a charter member of the Coalition Engaged in A Smoke-free Effort and has been active in the anti-tobacco movement since 1989.
She was the public information officer of the Santa Barbara public health department.
