Two men were killed and two women were injured Sunday morning when the car they were in crashed head-on into a magnolia tree, police said.
The identities of the 63-year-old driver and his three passengers were not released, pending notification of relatives.
They were driving west on Fourth Street at Parkcenter Drive shortly before 10:30 a.m. when the car veered to the right and struck the tree, police said.
The driver and the front-seat passenger, a 42-year-old man, were taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where they died. The women, 33 and 57, were hospitalized in stable condition, officials said.
