5 Die as Plane Crashes After Aborted Landing

A private airplane crashed in a wooded area near McAlester Regional Airport after an aborted landing, killing the five people on board, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The FAA said the Piper PA-34 was registered to a company in Carrollton, Texas, and did not have a flight plan. An official said the plane lost one of its engines and crashed as the pilot was trying to regain altitude.
