Louie Hernandez, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Had three hits, including two home runs, and five RBIs to pace No. 9 Mater Dei to an 11-4 Serra League victory over Bellflower St. John Bosco.
Mike Demaria, North Torrance: Pitched a perfect game with nine strikeouts and had three hits and two RBIs in a 17-0, five-inning Pioneer League victory over Compton Centennial.
Tyler Sheedy, Huntington Beach Edison: Had a home run, triple and two RBIs in a 4-2 Sunset League victory over Huntington Beach.
Jason Corder, Capistrano Valley: Had two hits, including a three-run homer, to lead No. 3 Capistrano Valley to an 8-1 South Coast League victory over El Toro.
Luis Avila, Rialto: Pitched a one-hitter over eight innings and struck out 11 in a 1-0 victory over Arcadia to win the Arcadia tournament.
SOFTBALL
Jessica Navarro, South Gate: Pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and six walks in a 9-1 Eastern League victory over Bell. The freshman also had four hits, including a triple.
Alana Snedigar, Glendora: Singled in the winning run in the 10th inning of a 3-2 Sierra League victory over Chino after the No. 16 Tartars tied the score in the seventh inning on Molly Vitelli’s RBI triple and Rachael Torricelli’s sacrifice fly.
Veronica Cardenas and Lupe Alvarado, Santa Ana: Cardenas had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs and Alvarado had two triples and three RBIs in a 10-2 Golden West League victory over Costa Mesa Estancia.
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Salim Kordab, Tujunga Verdugo Hills: Had 41 kills in a 15-5, 15-11, 7-15, 15-9 Sunset Six League victory over Canoga Park.
Adam Church, Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe: Had 37 kills in a 7-15, 7-15, 15-12, 15-9, 15-10 Del Rio League victory over Whittier California.
Josh Karzai, Reseda: Had 30 kills and 19 blocks in a 15-11, 7-15, 4-15, 15-10, 15-10 Valley Mission League victory over North Hills Monroe.
BOYS’ GOLF
Tim Cha, Chino Hills: Shot a three-under-par 33 at Los Serranos Country Club in a 196-302 nonleague victory over Pomona Garey.
Mike Renard, Placentia Valencia: Shot a one-under 34 at Anaheim Hills Golf Course in a 209-230 Empire League victory over Anaheim Katella.
