Royalty: Prince Charles has gained the presidency -- of the Royal Ballet. He succeeds his aunt, Princess Margaret, who held the post at Britain’s leading ballet company and school for 46 years until her death last year.
Auction: Christie’s expects a self-portrait of Paul Cezanne to fetch $15 million to $20 million at auction next month. Dating from about 1895, it shows the balding, bearded artist (1839-1906) contemplating himself with eyebrow arched in one of the last of the 26 self-depictions he painted. It was last publicly shown in 1937, according to Christie’s, which did not disclose the owner’s identity.
Oscar trail: Universal has set May 27 as the video and DVD release date for “The Pianist,” which recently won Academy Awards for acting, directing and writing.
Reprise: Timothy Bottoms, who played President George W. Bush in the short-lived Comedy Central sitcom “That’s My Bush!” in 2001, will take on the role again, but this time in a drama about the Sept. 11 attacks. He’ll star in “DC 9/11,” a Showtime movie about what went on among White House personnel that day.
