From Times Wire Reports
A Yemeni man accused of killing three American missionaries told a court he did it to defend Islam, believing they were sterilizing Muslim women and trying to convert Muslims to Christianity.
Abed Abdul Razak Kamel, 30, said he moved from the capital, Sana, to Jibla, 125 miles south, after hearing about a Southern Baptist hospital. “I acted out of a religious duty,” he told the court. Kathleen Gariety, Martha Myers and William Koehn died in the Dec. 30 shooting.
