Reprimand Sought Over ‘Dirty Bomb’ Remark

Some community leaders are asking the City Council to discipline one of its members who wrote an e-mail saying he wished he had a radioactive “dirty bomb” to eliminate local liberals.
The Human Relations Commission voted unanimously last week to ask the council to reprimand Jerry Duncan.
Duncan e-mailed three staff members during a June 10 council hearing on the relations commission’s budget: “If I had one dirty bomb ... I could eliminate all the liberals in Fresno at once.”
