Furniture Firm Reduced Lunch Time, Union Says

United Farm Workers has filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of furniture workers, accusing a Bakersfield company of reducing lunch break time.
Guy Chaddock & Co. allegedly did not give five full-time employees a 30-minute lunch break during their regular shifts in the last three years, according to the lawsuit filed Aug. 7 in Kern County Superior Court. The company declined to comment.
