Police Say Killing of Man Holding Girl Justified

Police said the officer-involved shooting Monday that left a San Bernardino man dead was warranted.
Ephraim Gutierrez, 33, was shot by a SWAT team member during a 90-minute hostage negotiation.
Gutierrez was inflicting knife wounds into the neck of a 2-year-old female family member he was holding inside a San Bernardino home when he was killed, Lt. Mark Emoto said. Gutierrez also was holding his 47-year-old aunt, Emoto said.
