Kids Languish While Foster Homes Await

Re “The Waiting Heart,” Opinion, Dec. 7:
Deryn Warren confirmed for me what I have been afraid of ... that there really are foster homes out there with families willing to take in children but that they are not getting utilized. We have children in our residential program who have been living in a group home environment for over three years. Although I think our program is excellent, it is no place for a child to grow up.
What are the private foster family agencies doing about children languishing in group homes?
