Woman Found Dead; Man Arrested

Hours after family members reported a 29-year-old Big Bear Lake woman missing, her body was found in her former boyfriend’s home, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Monday.
Julie Baumgardner had suffered head trauma, according to a sheriff’s spokesman, but the coroner has yet to reveal the cause of Sunday’s death.
The ex-boyfriend, Anthony McCollom of Colton, was booked on suspicion of murder.
Baumgardner had planned to meet McCollom for lunch Sunday but never returned, sheriff’s spokesman Chip Patterson said.
Baumgardner was the mother of one child, he said.
