Theodore Abajian has been named interim chief financial officer of the Santa Barbara-based parent of the Carl’s Jr. chain, after the departure last week of Dennis J. Lacey.
Lacey, 49, announced his decision to leave CKE Restaurants Inc. in April, saying he planned to move to Denver to be close to his daughter, who will be attending school there, the company said.
Abajian, 39, had served as chief administrative officer after joining CKE in March 2002, when the company acquired the Santa Barbara Restaurant Group, parent of the La Salsa and Green Burrito brands. He previously was SBRG’s president and CEO.
