National Park Service officials reportedly are reexamining the costs and consequences of adding nearly 800 campsites here.
According to a consultant’s study, it would cost $104 million to add 788 campsites outside Yosemite Valley.
“At that price, you could build a multiroom Marriott hotel,” said U.S. Rep. George Radanovich (R-Mariposa) on Wednesday.
“I know the park service is reviewing those estimates,” the congressman said, “because they think they’re way out of line.”
