2 Killed as Speeding Car Crashes Into Power Pole

A car, possibly speeding from a minor accident with a parked vehicle in a residential area, smashed into a power pole Friday, killing the 24-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger, police said.
Witnesses said the car was going about 80 mph when it went out of control about noon in the 14100 block of Valley Vista Boulevard.
The names of the dead weren’t released. Another passenger, a 19-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.
All three were from Panorama City.
