Police Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing

A Los Angeles Police Department helicopter made an emergency landing at Whiteman Airpark Monday after developing mechanical trouble, officials said.
The pilot and observer aboard the Jet Ranger helicopter were not injured.
LAPD Deputy Chief Michael Hillman said the helicopter was about 5,500 feet over the airport when the trouble started shortly after 2 p.m.
