Northridge Falls Short at Montana

MISSOULA, Mont. — Kevin Criswell scored 24 points, including nine in the last 90 seconds, to lead Montana past Cal State Northridge, 90-80, Tuesday.
The Grizzlies (1-2), who overcame 22 turnovers, made a school-record 40 free throws in 53 attempts and used a 9-0 run to rally from a 60-58 deficit midway through the second half.
Lamarr Farr’s basket with 6 minutes 50 seconds to play made it 67-60, but the Matadors (1-4) got no closer than four points down the stretch.
Bakari Altheimer scored 21 points for the Matadors, who had 37 fouls and had three players foul out.
