Houston Upsets No. 14 Purdue

Daphne Andre scored 21 points, including two free throws that secured the victory after a key steal, and Houston upset No. 14-ranked Purdue, 63-60, Tuesday at West Lafayette, Ind.
Sancho Lyttle had 17 points and 17 rebounds, and Crystal Simpson scored 13 points for the Cougars (6-0), who opened with a 5-0 run and led, 36-30, at halftime.
Tye Jackson scored 20 points for the Boilermakers (3-1), who trailed, 57-56, with 2 minutes 44 seconds to play.
No. 1 Louisiana State 77, North Texas 51 -- Seimone Augustus scored 22 points on 11-for-11 shooting at home for the Tigers (8-0), who led the Mean Green (2-2) by as many as 27 points.
No. 3 Notre Dame 69, Valparaiso 59 -- Jacqueline Batteast had 25 points and 10 rebounds to help the Fighting Irish (7-0) hold off the Crusaders (1-3) at Valparaiso, Ind.
No. 6 Georgia 61, Georgia Southern 50 -- Cori Chambers scored all 14 of her points in the second half, helping the Bulldogs (5-1) rally at Athens, Ga., and beat Georgia Southern (2-3) for the 15th consecutive time.
No. 9 Baylor 77, Rice 65 -- Steffanie Blackmon had 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Bears (4-1) at Waco, Texas, where Maudess Fulton scored 19 points for Rice (3-4).
No. 17 DePaul 97, Illinois Chicago 54 -- Khara Smith had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Demons (5-0), who cruised against the Flames (1-4) at Chicago.
Mississippi State 72, No. 21 Louisiana Tech 55 -- Tan White scored 28 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-2) in the upset at Starkville, Miss.
Shan Moore led Louisiana Tech (2-1) with 17 points.
No. 22 Maryland 77, Loyola (Md.) 36 -- Laura Harper scored a career-high 22 points for the host Terrapins (4-1), who held Loyola (0-3) to one basket in the first 14 minutes of the second half.
