Immigration Case Involves O.C. Imam

An Egyptian man who served as an imam at an Orange County mosque has been arrested on suspicion of violating immigration law, officials said Friday.
Wagdy Mohamed Ghoneim of Anaheim, who worked as an imam at the Islamic Institute of Orange County in that city, was arrested at his home Thursday and taken to a federal detention facility where he was being held without bail.
No further details were available Friday.
