Veterans Day

My 10-year-old was ecstatic. There would be no school on Thursday because it was Veterans Day.
“And what is a veteran?” I quizzed him. He thought for a moment. “A veteran is someone who says, ‘God bless America.’ ” he replied. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
