College president -- The headline and text of a news brief item in Tuesday’s California section said Robert V. Dees was appointed president of the Coast Community College District in Orange County. Dees was named president of Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, one of three colleges in the district. The item also left unclear the college where Dees has worked for 27 years. That college is Orange Coast.
Dees earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from San Jose State University.
The Laguna Niguel resident has written several textbooks on research and writing.
