Nuggets Beat Heat in a Wild Ending

Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points and Earl Boykins made a three-pointer with 17 seconds left to lift the Denver Nuggets past the Miami Heat, 101-99, on Saturday night at Denver.
James Posey’s three-pointer banged off the rim with five seconds left and the Nuggets appeared to dribble out the clock, but a long video review showed Antoine Walker had committed a foul with a second left. The Nuggets threw the ball inbounds to Boykins and Miami failed to foul before the buzzer.
Andre Miller added 22 points for the Nuggets, who had Coach George Karl back on the bench from a two-game suspension as they ended a three-game skid.
Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 32 points and Walker had 20.
Toronto 95, New Jersey 82 -- Chris Bosh scored a season-high 29 points and Morris Peterson added 24 to lead the Raptors to their third win of the season and second road victory in two nights at East Rutherford, N.J.
Jason Kidd led the Nets with 17 points, and Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson had 15 apiece. Carter left the game midway through the third quarter after injuring his ankle but returned later in the period and finished the game.
Memphis 90, Houston 75 -- Damon Stoudamire scored 24 points and the Grizzlies made a franchise-record 15 three-pointers at Houston en route to their fifth straight victory.
Memphis was 15 of 32 from three-point range to break the team record of 13 set against Milwaukee in January. Stoudamire was six for seven on three-pointers and Bobby Jackson went five for eight. Jackson finished with a season-high 18 points.
Yao Ming led the Rockets with 29 points.
Detroit 92, Chicago 79 -- Rasheed Wallace scored 26 points and Tayshaun Prince and Chauncey Billups added 17 apiece to lead the Pistons to their fourth straight victory.
The Bulls’ Luol Deng followed a season-high 28-point effort Friday night against Boston by scoring 18 points.
Dallas 97, New Orleans 88 -- The Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki scored 16 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter at Dallas. Nowitzki, who scored a season-low 14 points Thursday night against San Antonio, scored 10 consecutive points to help Dallas pull away after New Orleans crept within three early in the fourth.
Chris Paul had 25 points and Speedy Claxton had 21 for the Hornets.
San Antonio 100, Philadelphia 91 -- Tony Parker scored 20 points and Brent Barry hit four three-pointers in the second half for the Spurs at home.
Tim Duncan scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds for the Spurs, who won their third consecutive game.
Allen Iverson led the 76ers with 37 points. He scored 17 points of the Sixers’ 29 points in the fourth, when San Antonio’s lead grew to as many as 18 points.
Milwaukee 104, Orlando 84 -- Michael Redd scored 30 points and Dan Gadzuric added a season-high 16 for the Bucks at home. Jameer Nelson led the Magic, playing without Steve Francis for the second straight game, with 20 points.

The New York Knicks waived forward Matt Barnes. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Barnes, who played at UCLA and for the Clippers, averaged 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in six games this season. He signed as a free agent on Oct. 6.
